Se and As Sorbent Traps

Selenium and Arsenic Sorbent Traps

Description

Selenium and arsenic sorbent traps were designed in response to EPA’s recently issued Effluent Limitations Guidelines (ELG). They can be sampled using the same sampling systems as Mercury (Hg) sorbent traps. Analysis is done by atomic fluorescence or atomic absorption via graphite furnace.

Applications

Se Sorbent Trap Applications

  • Used for flue gas measurement anywhere upstream of the FGD, in order to optimize control technologies for ELG compliance

As Sorbent Trap Applications

  • Used for flue gas measurement anywhere upstream of the FGD, in order to optimize control technologies for ELG compliance.
  • Used to measure arsenic at the SCR inlet in order to determine the presence of arsenic and its contribution to catalyst poisoning.
