NH3 Sorbent Traps

NH3 Sorbent Traps

Ammonia (NH3) sorbent traps are used to measure ammonia levels at SCRs/SNCRs in order to monitor catalyst health and optimize ammonia injection rates. Analysis is done using ion chromatography.

Ammonia Sorbent Trap Applications:

  • Measuring ammonia slip through the SCR/SNCR
  • Measuring ammonia between layers of the SCR to monitor catalyst layer performance.
  • Tying ammonia slip to catalyst health - particularly as it applies to mercury oxidation efficiency in the last layer of the SCR.
